PRESS RELEASE
"Eyes, Whispers, Rhythm, Sex..."

SAN FRANCISCO - Platinum recording artist Gregory Abbott has been a top writer and producer of what has become known as the "groove ballad." His sound is identifiable and unique. You immediately realize that as writer- producer and artist, he has masterfully blended lush arrangements and Bee Gee like backgrounds to his own powerful 'Marvin Gaye meets Al Green- lead vocals.

Abbott's musical voyage, "Eyes, Whispers, Rhythm, Sex.." is his fifth album to date. Gregory Abbott burst upon the music scene in the late 1980's when he wrote and produced his first album, "Shake You Down". The groove-ballad of the same name became a #1 hit on the Pop, R&B and Dance charts and has reached well over two and a half million radio airplays to date and is now, of course, a standard and the seed by which many a romance has blossomed.

Great new songs: From the sensuous "I Like What You Do", the romantic and powerful "Rhythm Rhyme", the new age "Eleven Eleven" and pop/reggae cover of "Handyman", to the closing "Wrap It Up" (a one man vocal odyssey), Gregory Abbotts' appeal is stronger than ever. Indeed, Abbott seems to have a knack for blending his themes, rhythms and vocals seamlessly into one smooth cohesive experience. For those of us who like getting our monies worth in these days of pricey CD's; this would be a good bet to add to your collection.

Shortly after "Shake You Down", Abbott became a celebrity and sex symbol, modeling for layouts in Playboy and voted one of the 10 sexiest male artists in Playgirl. Abbott's sophisticated looks sound and style, probably come from being raised in New York City and having a Master's degree from the University of California, while his hot Afro-Latin look derives from a Venezuelan mother, and a father from the Island of Antigua where he is a dual citizen. He lives on both the East and West Coasts (New Jersey and San Francisco respectively). To hear a sample of some of the songs from his next release, please visit the Listening Room.
